Client centred. Recovery focused. Trauma informed.
Why Benefact?
Because invisible disability is real — and you deserve support that actually works for you.
At Benefact Occupational Therapy, we work with people who’ve been overlooked, gaslit, or told they’re “too much”.
We’re specialist clinicians who support people living with AuDHD, hypermobility and EDS, chronic illness, complex trauma, personality disorders, and psychosocial disability — though this is far from an exhaustive list!
We know what it’s like to feel dismissed by the system.
We don’t expect you to mask, shrink, or prove you’re “struggling enough” to be believed.
Instead, we offer:
Neuroaffirming, trauma-informed support
Safe, inclusive care for LGBTQIA+ and gender-diverse clients
Clinicians with lived experience who actually listen
Therapy shaped around your goals — not someone else’s checklist
This isn’t therapy that makes you feel broken.
We pride ourselves on offering the kind of support that meets you where you are — in your strengths, your struggles, and everything in between.
You don’t have to do this alone. We’re here when you’re ready.
Who are we? What do we do?
Benefact is a neuroaffirming, trauma-informed OT practice that helps people navigate life with invisible and psychosocial disabilities.
We support people with:
Autism, ADHD, chronic pain, EDS, trauma, and mental health conditions
Executive dysfunction, sensory regulation, fatigue, and emotional overload
Barriers to self-care, routine, community access, and independent living
… and so much more!
We provide:
Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs/FCARs) and NDIS reports that reflect your real-world support needs and stand up at plan reassessments or appeals
Ongoing therapy that adapts with you — not against you — and supports emotional regulation, self-understanding, and everyday functioning
Telehealth OT delivered flexibly across Australia (in-person, in-home support available in select Sydney areas at request)
Support to navigate housing, systems, transitions, and assistive tech
We work with people who have often been let down, overlooked, or misunderstood by professionals and services.
Our goal is to offer therapy that’s practical, affirming, and grounded in your lived experience.
