Behind Benefact
Who we are

We’re a small team of professionals who care deeply about doing support differently — and doing it well.
At Benefact, we combine clinical expertise with lived experience to support people whose needs are often misunderstood, minimised, or missed altogether.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. We believe in showing up with clarity, flexibility, and respect — every time.
We understand that life doesn’t fit neatly into a form. That functional capacity can shift day to day. That neurodivergence, chronic illness, trauma, and identity all shape how people move through the world.
That’s why we work in a way that’s neuroaffirming, trauma-informed, and inclusive by design — not by exception.
Whether we’re writing reports, delivering therapy, supporting transitions, or helping you work through systems like the NDIS, our focus is the same: To provide care that’s evidence-based, person-centred, and built around what actually matters to you.
Behind Benefact
I built the service I wish I’d had.
I’m Isabella — founder of Benefact and a registered Occupational Therapist.
I also have lived experience of invisible disability, neurodivergence, and what it’s like to try to get help when it feels like nobody will listen.
I know the exhaustion of navigating systems that weren’t built with people like us in mind.
I also know how powerful it is when you finally find support that fits — where you don’t have to downplay your struggles or over-explain your reality just to be taken seriously.
Benefact was created out of that need. A need for care that’s not just clinically sound — but flexible, human, and built on trust.
A service where people feel understood, not scrutinised.
Where therapy supports the whole person, not just a diagnosis.
I built Benefact for people just like us. That’s why Benefact exists.
What we do — and why it matters
We specialise in invisible and psychosocial disability — the kinds of conditions that aren’t always obvious, but deeply affect how people live, function, and participate. We work where things get a bit complex and funky fresh — across intersecting diagnoses, access barriers, and support gaps.
We support people experiencing:
Autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergent identities (diagnosed and self-identified)
Chronic illness, fatigue, hypermobility, and Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (& co)
Emotional dysregulation, trauma, and personality disorders
Executive dysfunction, burnout, shutdowns, and sensory overload
Functional barriers to independence, self-care, and community life
Our services include:
NDIS Functional Capacity Assessments and reports that capture your real-world support needs and are designed to stand up in plan reviews, reassessments, and appeals
Ongoing OT therapy that supports emotional regulation, identity development, and daily functioning
Telehealth OT nationwide, with in-person options available across select Sydney locations
Support with housing, assistive technology, transitions, and systems navigation
